Why Go To Maldives?

Maldives resort

The reason I went to the Maldives was that I had never been there and I knew I wanted to visit somewhere with a lot of pristine beaches. This is where it gets interesting. You should pick something you truly enjoy, rather than something you think others might enjoy. People don’t need to hear about the destination unless it resonates with them.

The Maldives has beautiful beaches and lots of pristine nature. There is a very active underwater world. There are many diving spots in this country.

The people here are very friendly and they love meeting new people. The weather is very good all year round, except for February, which is the monsoon season. They experience a lot of sunshine during the summer months.

Climate

The Maldives Climate is a tropical climate. The islands are hot and humid, with average temperatures ranging from 24 to 33 degrees Celsius. The average annual rainfall is 2,000 millimeters.

When to Go To Maldives?

The right time depends on what you want to get out of it. For example, if you want to experience diving in paradise, the best time to go is now. But if you’re looking to party or relax on the beach, go in the summer. And if you want to focus on nature, go in winter.

Maldives vacation

The best time to visit the Maldives is between April and October when the weather is usually sunny and warm. During winter, the waters get too cold for scuba diving and snorkeling. And during summer, you might have to deal with too much humidity.

Getting Around Maldives

Here’s a little trivia for you: The Maldives is made up of around 1200 islands, but only 30 are inhabited. Now, let’s talk about how you can get around the Maldives for vacation.

First off, you’ll need to fly to Malé (the capital) first and then hop on one of the small planes that fly between the islands, or take a private charter flight.

Maldives vacation
Seaplane in the maldives

There are many different airlines that fly to Malé. One of them is Maldives Air. It is a national carrier that operates regular flights from India and Europe.

It is a good idea to buy a plane ticket in advance so that you won’t have to wait too long. The same is true with getting a taxi or hiring a car from the airport to your resort. These things can take a while if you do them at the last minute.

When you arrive at Malé, it is a good idea to visit the local tourism office. They can help you figure out which island you want to visit. It’s best to plan your trip well in advance since some of the smaller islands are more popular than others. Make sure to find out about transportation before you leave the airport.

Most resorts offer shuttle service, but if you’re staying in Malé, the capital city, you’ll need to take a taxi or bus. Malé is a small city and it’s easy to walk around. There are also plenty of taxis and buses available for getting around town.

Where To Stay?

Despite its reputation as a luxury destination, Maldivian resorts often offer surprisingly affordable accommodation. From five-star hotels to bungalows, there are plenty of places to stay in the Maldives.

Maldives vacation

There are lots of resorts to stay at in the Maldives. If you don’t want to pay too much, you can choose to stay in an inexpensive resort.

Some of the best known Maldivian resorts include the Ari Atoll Beach Resort, the Andaz Maldives Rangali Island Resort & Spa, the Four Seasons Maldives, the Hilton Maldives Resort & Spa, the Kuda Bandos, the Oberoi Maldives, the Radisson Maldives Resort & Spa, the Star Maldives, the Viva Maldives, and the W Retreat.

What to Pack?

Planning to visit the Maldives? Do not forget to pack a good pair of sneakers, especially if you’re planning to spend a lot of time at the beach. A good pair of sneakers will help you keep up with the pace while you’re walking around on the sand. This will also prevent you from getting blisters on your feet, which are extremely common in the Maldives.

Once again, make sure to bring along the following things: sunscreen, sunglasses, a water bottle, your camera, extra batteries, insect repellent, light clothes, sneakers, and of course, a swimsuit. You should remember to bring these items especially if you plan to stay outside for a long time.

You must consider the weather conditions, especially if you are visiting the Maldives because maybe the climate of the Maldives is very different from what you are used to. So be prepared!

What To Wear?

People are often surprised to learn that you can have an amazing time even if you don’t wear a swimming suit! You don’t have to wear a swimsuit, but you should probably bring at least a pair of comfortable shorts or pants.

Maldives vacation

You can wear a shirt with short sleeves. Some people feel that a tank top is too revealing, and a dress shirt with short sleeves is fine. You can go to the beach in flip-flops or sandals. If you wear a swimsuit, cover yourself up! If you’re wearing a bathing suit, put on sunscreen and a hat. You’ll be exposed to the sun’s harmful rays.

Wear sunglasses, especially during the daytime, and take them off at sunset. Also, watch for rip currents and jellyfish. Jellyfish stings are painful. Make sure you know how to protect yourself against stingers. Watch out for sharks. Sharks are attracted to the noise of boats. So, keep quiet while you’re on the water.

Also, make sure you know how to swim. Don’t worry if you haven’t learned how. Most resorts have pool instructors on duty. You should be able to learn how to swim in just a few days. You don’t have to take lessons, though.  Just go into the water and follow the instructions of the instructor. If you’re not a confident swimmer, there are plenty of things you can do to get used to the water. You can go to the resort’s fitness center.

How To Keep In Touch?

It’s important to be connected to friends and family back home. If you have cell phones, use them! If you have a computer or laptop, be sure to connect to the Internet and keep in touch. You can use email to communicate with your family and friends. If you don’t have a computer or laptop, you can still stay in touch by sending letters. You can also send a postcard to show off some of the beautiful sights in the Maldives.

How Much To Budget?

The Maldives is a stunning, tropical paradise, and the perfect place for an escape if you need a little rejuvenation. But it is also expensive. There are many resorts that cater to budget-conscious travelers, and you can choose from a range of accommodations.

How much should you spend while you are in the Maldives? This depends on the type of resort you stay in. A luxury resort will cost a lot more than a budget resort, but if you stay in a luxury resort, you will probably be able to experience the Maldives at its best.

You should always try to keep your expenses down. Remember that even a budget hotel will usually include daily meals, and drinks. You can choose what you want to eat, so try to find a restaurant that provides the kind of cuisine that you are interested in.

Health Issues and Vaccinations

If you’re traveling to the Maldives, check out the country’s current health conditions and vaccination guidelines. Although it’s unlikely you’ll encounter any of the deadly diseases that plague other parts of the world, there are some illnesses that you could come across.

Dengue fever is present in the Maldives, so travelers are advised to get vaccinated for the disease. The United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends vaccinating against hepatitis A, tetanus/diphtheria, and yellow fever. Other recommended vaccines for tourists include typhoid and Japanese encephalitis.

Important Things To Do

It may seem like it would be hard to do a lot in just one month (or even just one week), but there are plenty of activities to enjoy in this beautiful destination.

There are lots of places to go and things to see in the Maldives. You should visit the capital city, Malé. There are beaches all around the island, and the water is so blue and clear that you will be able to see right through it. You should also go snorkeling or diving. You will be able to see some amazing marine life.

You can even swim with sharks. That’s another great thing about the Maldives. You should also go surfing. This is great fun. You will enjoy it, and it will make you feel much better. There are lots of great dive sites, so you will be able to see lots of different kinds of sea creatures.

Where to Eat

L'atelier_de_joël_robuchon
L’atelier de joël robuchon

While the Maldives is a great destination for beach-goers, its food options are limited to a few fish dishes. So, the question was: What restaurants would we want to eat at while on a Maldives vacation?

We decided to stay at the Grand Reef resort, which had a wonderful restaurant called L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon. The chef there was very excited to cook us a special meal, and he came out to our villa to meet with us to tell us all about the menu. Here are some of the places where you can experience Maldives’ diverse culture and cuisine.

L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon has two locations in the Maldives. One is in the city of Malé, and the other is in the city of Hulhumalé. The name “Robuchon” means “the chef” in French. The chefs and restaurant managers are famous in the world for their creations. L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon in Malé is a five-star hotel and restaurant with only 70 rooms and suites, making it the smallest hotel in all of the Maldives.

All of the ingredients are locally sourced. Robuchon has been using the freshest, most nutritious ingredients to create dishes that are delicious and unique. The menus change often because Robuchon is constantly trying new recipes. But the food always has a French touch.

There are many restaurants and bars located on the islands, serving both international and local cuisine. You can find everything from seafood to Indian food, as well as cocktails, beer, and wine.

Some of the best places to eat include The Beach House at Soneva Fushi Resort, Ithaa Undersea Restaurant in the Conrad Maldives Rangali Island hotel, and Olhuveli Beach & Spa Resort’s overwater restaurant called Thila. So whether you’re looking for a casual bite or an elegant meal, the Maldives has something to offer everyone.

Things To Avoid

Man taking a group selfie

There are certain things that you should avoid while you’re on a vacation in the Maldives.  When you are on vacation, you should spend your time relaxing and enjoying the scenery around you.

Don’t be afraid to ask questions about the Maldivian culture. Don’t forget that you came to the Maldives to relax and have fun. When you are on vacation, you shouldn’t worry too much about whether you can stay up late or not. Don’t spend your whole day outside. Go into the town and find some shops to visit and buy some souvenirs.

Go swimming or snorkeling and play some volleyball. Make sure that you have some sunscreen with you so you don’t get sunburn. Have some fun with your friends and don’t forget to take some nice photos of yourself.

Go to the local markets and shop for some local snacks. Be careful not to take photos of yourself in public. Don’t expose yourself or your family to the elements. Try to be as inconspicuous as possible when you’re taking photos of yourself. You MUST NOT have sex in public.
